We are a small, hard working shop with
professional level tools, state of the art
equipment, and training in all automotive
systems. We were founded in 2007, built our
old facility in 2013 and moved into our new
beautiful facility in September 2022.
DIGITAL
INSPECTIONS
We feel it is our duty to let you aware
of the mechanical condition of your
vehicle systems, as we take pride in our
transparency and honesty with our
customers. We perform a complimentary
digital inspection of your vehicle where we
inspect / take photos of the different
components. The inspection report is then sent to your phone or email - so you can see what we see!
The best part - it's completely free with any service!
SERVICES
We offer full service automotive maintenance and repair. Engine, Transmission, Differential, Steering, Suspension, Brakes and Exhaust, just for
starters. We also offer specialties including
Wheel Alignments, Air Conditioning, and
Inspections. We do jobs of all sizes from light
bulbs to powertrain swaps. We are also an
accredited Vehicle Inspection Facility and
can take care of your commercial and
provincial inspections. You name it.
PROJECTS
We are currently building a 1959
Chevrolet Viking 50, lovingly known
as Danny Boy. Previous projects include
the Ultimate Tow Rig (UTR) as seen above,
the Electrod, a fully electric powered
1937 Chevrolet Coupe, a few 1972 Chevrolet
Pick ups, a 1957 Buick Cabalero with air ride
and El Chupacabra II, Wagons of Steel North's
1964 Dodge 330 altered wheelbase race wagon.
Our goal at Babe's Automotive is to provide the best service possible. We have transcended adversity and are ready for any challenge.

HOW TO FIND US
Travelling from Nelson:
Take Highway 6 from Nelson towards Playmor Junction. Approx 1 km before reaching the junction you will see a bus stop on the right - directly across the highway from the bus stop is Sentinel Rd. Take a left up Sentinel Rd, at the top of the hill turn right into our parking lot where you will see our big blue building.
Travelling from Castlegar / Trail:
Take Highway 3A with signs pointing towards Nelson. When you reach Playmor Junction, keep going straight. Approx. 1 km after the junction there will be a road on your right that goes straight up a hill called Sentinel Rd, directly across the highway from a bus stop. Take a right up Sentinel Rd, at the top of the hill turn right into our parking lot where you will see our big blue building.
Travelling from the Slocan Valley:
Take Highway 6 until you reach Playmor Junction. Take a left at Playmor Junction like you're driving to Nelson. Approx. 1 km after the junction there will be a road on your right that goes straight up a hill called Sentinel Rd, directly across the highway from a bus stop. Take a right up Sentinel Rd, at the top of the hill turn right into our parking lot where you will see our big blue building.
